Make your own Detox water!

Many of us don’t consume enough water during the summer season. Making detox water at home is not only an easy remedy to treat yourself, but also to ensure that you drink enough water to beat the summer heat. Simply add in a few slices of lemon, cucumber and some mint leaves to a jug of water, and keep sipping. This will also help increase metabolic rate and lose weight faster!

Steaming

You can rejuvenate your skin by steaming. This process helps to remove all the dirt that has been accumulated in the skin and also helps to open the clogged pores. All you need is a bowl of hot water and a few drops of essential oils added to it. Place the bowl right under your face and cover your head with a towel to prevent the steam from escaping. This will help you to get rid of the dirt that comes with summer pollution and dust. After steaming, your skin will feel rejuvenated and fresh.

Aloe Vera treatment

There must be a reason why Aloe Vera was said to be Cleopatra’s beauty secret and is still being considered as the future of medicine. This plant helps in removing pimples, tan and also helps in soothing the skin. Pluck a fresh Aloe Vera stem from the plant, peel it off carefully and form a paste adding lemon and honey. Apply it on your face for around 20 minutes and remove it off by washing your face with cold water. Follow this at least twice a week for youthful and radiant skin.

Turmeric and Gram Flour treatment

The herbal properties of turmeric and gram flour is age-old and together they form the most common beauty recipe. Take two spoons of gram flour and a pinch or two of turmeric powder in a bowl. You can add milk or cream or even white butter to form a smooth paste. Apply the pack on your face and neck area, and keep it on for 15 minutes before washing off. The process helps remove dead cells and leaves you with nourished and clear skin.

Almonds

Good skin does not come from simply using cosmetic products, but also from home-made natural remedies which can work wonders. Soak a few almonds in water for a night and next day peel the skin and make a paste out of it. The paste requires few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of milk. Apply this paste on your face before you go to bed and leave it overnight. Next day, wash your face with lukewarm water.

Exercise

Exercise not just helps you stay fit, but it also helps to get rid of the toxins and gives you glowing skin. Do simple workouts or yoga every morning to feel good and stay fresh. If you feel too lazy to work out, walk as much as you can, you will have more energy and you will get fresh and healthy skin. Exercise also increases the blood circulation of the body and promotes supply of blood that gives the skin a natural and healthy glow. Rose water is one of the keenest ingredients to help tone your skin and to also help in keeping the skin smooth. It is natural and can be carried anywhere. You can fill a small spray bottle with rose water and you can spray it on your face whenever you feel your skin is itchy or rough. We recommend it to be a must-have in every bride’s makeup kit. You can even dip cotton balls in cold rose water and place it on your eyes for relief from stress and dirt.

Honey and lemon when used together give the best results. Ayurveda considers these ingredients as one of the best gifts humankind can have. Both contain Vitamin C, which helps in soothing the skin.
