Sonam Kapoor at the campaign launch of Zoya’s My Embrace
Zoya, the exquisite diamond boutique from the House of Tata, today presented a new brand film that powerfully depicts the brand’s philosophy of finding innate joy in being your most authentic self.
Featuring Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja, the campaign evocatively brings to life, the Zoya woman’s bliss in embracing every aspect of her unique journey through life. The film accompanies the launch of Zoya’s new autograph collection ‘My Embrace’ – a signature identifier of the luxury atelier, that continues its tradition of redefining the way fine jewellery is experienced through meaningful pieces of wearable art.
Sonam Kapoor talks to Wedding Vows on her love for fine jewellery and how to style it:
Have you always loved fine jewellery? What makes it special?
Yes, I have always loved fine jewellery and I wear a lot of it because it always elevates your look. All my jewellery has meaningful associations or a story behind it, and that makes them even more special.
Tell us about the collection that you recently launched for Zoya?
Zoya’s My Embrace is an autograph collection with 26 sleek bangles, pendants, rings and earrings. Its inspiration comes from the idea of a woman embracing all her hues and just joyfully celebrating herself. It’s very simple in its design, and is very well made. It has great craftsmanship and I’m certain it will
become a classic.
How would you style it in daily life?
I love dressing up. I love dressing down as well, but it has to be beautifully put together. Zoya’s My Embrace is a collection that effortlessly complements whatever I’m wearing… I can wear it to work, on a coffee date, or a walk in the park!
How have jewellery trends changed over years?
I think women are looking for jewellery that has a meaningful story behind it. Pieces with present-day relevance, that can be styled with versatility, that you can wear and enjoy over and again, rather than pieces you will just wear once and put in your locker, will be popular.
Your advice to brides on investing in jewellery?
I would suggest investing in pieces that are distinctive, beautifully crafted and personally meaningful. Buy from brands and companies that are reputed like the Tatas. This way you can enjoy your jewellery, while it also appreciates as an investment.
